Re: Restoration - It is already going to feel so weird to not get all those free chain-heals out of our totems...but completely agree the 4-pc impacting damage will make it much more interesting in M+, where at higher keys the 215% crit heal (vs. 200%) will feel negligible (not enough scale and value relative to raids, where you spend a larger % of casts on heals). Unless S1 of Dragonflight has us all healing a lot more.
My only issue with the Enh set is that the 2-piece is almost certainly going to be ignored at times. Enh is majorly capped on GCDs in DF (I'm not a fan, but I know some people wanted that) and in certain builds you will definitely not have a place in the rotation for Frost Shock (or possibly even LL).There is a big possibility that this introduces another Hot-Hands-like issue where good RNG and bad RNG have a huge damage disparity. Double Lightning Spirits plus Nature procs or Double Fire spirits with Fire procs and Hot Hands will absolutely over preform. I would not mind changing the 2-set proc to a set rotation (i.e. Nature then Fire then Frost then Nature...) to reduce some of the huge RNG swings.
Overall, I'm pretty excited about shaman in DF. The enh. set synergizes so much better than it was before, and the elemental set is decent (what 'I've played through SL). Shaman is looking very good compared to other classes.
Why is there a picture of a hunter at the top of this article rather than a shaman? When the link opened, I honestly thought someone messed up and this was a review of hunter sets.
"I'd like to see the 4-piece expanded to damage as well, there is no real reason for it to be only healing criticals in my opinion and it creates more motivation to pick the set up for Mythic+."I can only assume that Blizzard must think rSham's damage is already competitive, and therefore don't want to increase it by having the 4-set have increased critical damage as well. Which is a shame since certain other healer 4-pieces effect damage. The 4-set is a bit boring, call me crazy but I prefer the original haste buff - that would have been noticeable at least. Of course it may end up being noticeable and fun, so who knows. With Vesper's constant AOE heals gone (that synergized great when Cloudburst was on CD), the enhanced heals might be welcome. Look forward to giving it a go.... we're getting tier sets so early in the season, Blizzard could switch them up later in the xpac to inject some playstyle variety.
4 set bonus for elemental looks like an 0.25% of dmg inscrease, that dont needed to be even used. mastery is last stat for ele that needed, event 7.5% is a small amount, for 2-3 casts...
